Installation Instructions
- Safely raise and support the vehicle and remove the front wheels
- Remove caliper guide pins or slide bolts and slide the caliper off the rotor without disconnecting the brake line
- Suspend the caliper from the strut or control arm with a wire hook to protect the brake hose
- Remove old pads and clean all bracket contact surfaces and caliper guide rails with a wire brush
- Apply thin high-temperature ceramic brake lubricant to bracket contact points only, not on friction surfaces or rotor face
- Use a C-clamp or dedicated 6-piston compression tool to retract all pistons evenly into the bore before installation
- Install the new RP.14051.2 pads into the bracket ensuring correct orientation per caliper markings
- Reinstall the caliper and torque all fasteners to manufacturer specification
- Reinstall the wheel and torque lug nuts to spec in a star pattern
- Repeat on the opposite side
- Pump the pedal firmly until full pressure returns before moving the vehicle
- Perform a full bed-in procedure before committing to aggressive braking
