Installation
- This installation requires professional bodywork experience. Seibon strongly recommends professional installation by a shop experienced with carbon fiber door replacement.
- Gather tools: 10mm, 13mm, and Torx sockets; door hinge pin removal tools; trim panel removal kit; torque wrench; door alignment shims.
- Disconnect the battery before starting. All wiring harnesses run through the door must be disconnected safely.
- Open the door fully. Remove all interior door panel clips and the full trim panel to expose the wiring and hinge bolts.
- Disconnect the wiring harness connectors for power windows, central lock, mirror, and speaker.
- With a helper supporting the door, remove the hinge-to-door bolts and carefully lift the door off. Keep all hinge hardware.
- Transfer window glass, regulator, lock mechanism, mirror, and speaker to the carbon fiber door shell.
- Test-fit the carbon door on the hinges before reconnecting any wiring. Verify gap alignment with the A-pillar, rocker panel, and fender.
- Connect all wiring harnesses. Verify window, lock, and mirror functions before closing the door.
- Adjust hinge bolts within their slot tolerance for proper gap alignment. Torque to 20-25 Nm.
- Install the interior door panel. Test all functions , window, lock, mirror , again after final assembly.
