Quality Control
In the 1970s, when SSR launched the MK-Ⅰ, the demand for alloy wheels surged dramatically. In response, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport established the JWL standard in 1973 to ensure the safety and security of alloy wheels. Only wheels that pass this rigorous standard bear the JWL mark.
- In 1981, the independent third-party VIA was established to inspect JWL standards, leading to stricter quality requirements for alloy wheels.
- SSR wheels comply with the JWL standard (except for the SPEED STAR series).
- The JWL and VIA marks on our wheels signify that our strength test standards exceed those mandated by the Ministry.

We offer a wide selection of Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and aftermarket wheels and rims. If you want to maintain the factory-fresh look of your vehicle and ensure a perfect fit without modification, look for OEM wheels. Or, if you want to change up the look of your car or truck with some alloy wheels, search for aftermarket products. Shopping for aftermarket components gives you more choices for personalizing your vehicle, but it is necessary to research parts carefully to ensure compatibility.
Vehicle wheels include the inner discs, rims, and wheel hubs. Wheels range in styles from the plain and utilitarian to the highly decorative. Before ordering replacement wheels for your car, truck, or SUV, learn the size of your wheels by consulting your manual or asking a qualified mechanic. The size of a wheel depends on its thickness, diameter, and offset. The correct diameter wheel may not fit if the wheel is too thick or the offset is too large or small.
Always ensure you get wheels with the proper number and spacing of holes to accommodate your lug nuts. Order new lug nuts to attach to wheels if the old lug nuts are stripped or damaged.
