Keep Your Air Suspension Working When You Upgrade the Rear Links

The SuperPro TRC1138BK is the rear ride height sensor bracket built to pair with the TRC1138 upper trailing arm set on Tundra and Sequoia trucks equipped with the factory rear air suspension option. Swapping in performance upper links normally strands the OEM height sensor with nowhere to mount, which disables the automatic self leveling function. This bracket relocates the sensor linkage so the load leveling air suspension keeps operating exactly as Toyota intended after the upgrade.

Key Features

  • Purpose built to retain rear air suspension height sensor function after installing SuperPro TRC1138 upper trailing arms
  • Direct replacement mounting point for the factory integrated sensor bracket
  • Preserves automatic load leveling and manual High, Normal, and Low ride height modes
  • Durable powder coated steel construction resists corrosion and vibration
  • Bolt-on design uses factory mounting locations, no drilling or cutting required
  • Engineered and tested by SuperPro for long-term durability under daily driving and towing loads

FAQ

What is the TRC1138BK?

The TRC1138BK is a SuperPro ride height sensor bracket designed to retain rear air suspension height sensor function on Tundra and Sequoia trucks after installing the TRC1138 upper trailing arm set.

Do I need this bracket if I do not have rear air suspension?

No. This bracket is only necessary on Tundra and Sequoia models equipped with the factory Load-leveling Rear Height Control Air Suspension option. Trucks with the standard coil spring rear suspension do not use this sensor and do not need this bracket.

What happens if I install upper trailing arms without this bracket?

Removing the factory upper trailing arms also removes the integrated height sensor mount, which disables the automatic self leveling function on air suspension equipped trucks and can trigger a suspension warning light.

Does this bracket work with any aftermarket upper trailing arm?

This bracket is specifically designed to work with the SuperPro TRC1138 rear upper trailing arm set. Compatibility with other aftermarket trailing arms is not guaranteed.

Will this restore the manual ride height adjustment modes?

Yes. Once installed correctly, the sensor bracket allows the system to continue reading rear ride height, which restores automatic load leveling as well as the manual High, Normal, and Low height modes.

What trim levels come with rear air suspension on the Tundra?

Rear air suspension is available as an option on SR5, Limited, Platinum, 1794 Edition, and standard on Capstone trims of the 2022 and newer Tundra, depending on model year and package.

What trim levels come with rear air suspension on the Sequoia?

Rear air suspension is available on Platinum, 1794 Edition, and Capstone trims of the 2023 and newer Sequoia.

Is installation difficult?

Installation uses the factory mounting locations alongside the TRC1138 trailing arm set and does not require drilling or cutting. Basic hand tools and a vehicle lift or jack stands are recommended.

Install Instructions

  1. Raise and safely support the vehicle, then remove the rear wheels
  2. Remove the factory upper trailing arms per the TRC1138 installation procedure
  3. Disconnect the factory height sensor linkage from the OEM integrated bracket
  4. Install the TRC1138BK sensor bracket in the factory mounting location using the supplied hardware
  5. Install the SuperPro TRC1138 upper trailing arms
  6. Reconnect the height sensor linkage to the new bracket
  7. Torque all hardware to manufacturer specifications
  8. Cycle the ride height system through High, Normal, and Low modes to confirm proper sensor function before returning to normal use

Suspension Arm Bushings

Suspension Arm Bushings

Suspension arm bushings isolate the metal control arms and subframe from the vehicle chassis, absorbing vibration and allowing controlled suspension movement. Worn or cracked factory rubber bushings cause looseness in the suspension geometry, increased road noise, and imprecise steering feel. Quality replacement and upgraded bushings restore factory performance or improve handling response. Popular Suspension Arm Bushing Options Popular suspension arm bushing options include OEM-specification rubber bushing replacements for restoring factory ride quality, polyurethane control arm bushing sets for improved handling precision and reduced deflection under load, spherical bearing conversion kits for track applications that eliminate bushing compliance entirely, and complete control arm bushing kits that include all bushings and sleeves needed for a full vehicle refresh. What are the symptoms of worn suspension arm bushings? Worn suspension arm bushings typically cause clunking or knocki...
