Which side faces the throttle body?The manual places the supplied gasket in the assembly and directs the spacer’s Air-In side toward the throttle body while retaining the original manifold O-ring.
Why are twelve screws listed?They are three alternative four-screw sets for the manual’s engine/year cases. Install only the correctly identified set with four washers.
Can I use the torque from another spacer?No. This manual’s printed 5 Nm (48 lb/in) conversion is inconsistent. Resolve the correct value for the exact application before tightening; the separate 49 and 71 in-lb specifications belong to other parts.
