Installation Instructions

1. Safely lift and support the vehicle. Allow the driveshaft and exhaust to cool completely before beginning work.
2. Remove any braces or splash shields blocking access to the center support bearing area.
3. Lower or remove the exhaust section in the area of the center support bearing if needed for clearance.
4. Remove the heat shield covering the center support bearing.
5. Using a cutting tool, cut the factory rubber carrier on each side of the carrier frame and unbolt the carrier from the vehicle body.
6. Using a razor blade, cut the rubber all the way around the bearing to release the carrier frame, leaving the base layer of rubber intact on the bearing.
7. Cut off any remaining loose rubber hanging from the front of the bearing, leaving the thin base layer in place.
8. Take the top half of the carrier (bushing installed) and slide it over the top of the bearing with the JXB text facing the front of the vehicle.
9. Bring the bottom half up to meet the top half and thread the Allen bolts by hand, alternating left and right as you tighten to prevent binding. A small gap between the two bushing halves is normal. Torque to 10 Nm.
10. Mount the carrier to the vehicle: install a shoulder bolt with a fender washer and an isolation damper facing up through the carrier from below, then add another isolation damper and a small washer from above before threading into the body. Repeat for the second mounting point.
11. Torque both carrier-to-body mounting bolts to 19 Nm with thread locker applied.
12. Reinstall the heat shield and torque its bolts to 10 Nm.
13. Reinstall any exhaust sections, splash shields, and braces removed during access.
14. Test drive and verify elimination of vibration. Recheck all fasteners after the first heat cycle.
