Hoods aftermarket parts and performance accessories

Shop aftermarket hoods and related hood hardware at Black Ops Auto Works. Compare Black Ops Sniper, Demon, Venom, Paramedic, CFR and Redeye designs with Anderson Composites, Seibon and other listed panels. Choose the exact body generation, profile and construction for your build, then plan inserts, retention and finishing as part of the installation.

Black Ops Jeep and Mopar Hood Styles

Black Ops options include WK1 and WK2 Grand Cherokee designs, Charger generation-specific Sniper and Demon references, Durango Sniper styling and Ram TRX choices. A shared style name does not mean the panels fit the same vehicle. Compare the exact year/body application and hood profile before ordering.

The listed WK2 Sniper, Demon, CFR and Redeye references distinguish construction options and application notes; several exclude EcoDiesel. Redeye references identify separate Mopar vent inserts, while other styles have their own opening, mesh or window treatment. Choose the actual supplied configuration rather than assuming every hood includes every insert.

Carbon Fiber, Hybrid and Fiberglass Construction

Black Ops references can offer paint-ready fiberglass, carbon outer with fiberglass inner or full-carbon configurations. Anderson Composites and Seibon choices also have product-specific construction and finish. A visible carbon outer surface does not establish full-carbon inner and outer construction.

Compare panel weight with the actual factory hood only when both weights are documented for the selected configurations. Carbon styling does not guarantee a weight reduction over every factory aluminum or composite panel. Choose the material and finish you want without relying on a universal savings figure.

Anderson Composites and Seibon Applications

Compare Anderson Composites Camaro, Mustang, Cadillac Blackwing, Corvette and TRX references with Seibon Tacoma, 4Runner, sport-compact and other applications. OE, vented, cowl and other style designations describe different panels and should be checked against installed intake, supercharger and engine-bay packaging.

A vented hood, window design or raised profile is not a documented cooling, aerodynamic or horsepower gain by itself. Compare the actual opening and clearance requirements. Replacement props, hinges and other service hardware in the selection are separate from complete hood panels.

Retention, Heat Protection and Hood Support

Seibon and Anderson Composites require hood pins and heat protection for their hoods and identify restrictions on gas supports. Seibon directs that gas hood shocks, dampers and struts not be reinstalled; Anderson advises removal of factory struts. Follow the selected manufacturer’s requirements rather than transferring all factory hardware automatically.

Black Ops hood references have their own latch, hinge, D-ring, pin and support notes. Use the actual panel’s instructions and supplied contents. A factory-style latch location does not make supplemental retention optional when the manufacturer requires it.

Test Fit Before Paint or Permanent Installation

Plan professional test fitting, panel alignment and underhood-clearance checks before painting, wrapping, drilling or bonding parts. Fiberglass and carbon configurations can have different finishing needs. A gloss carbon surface is a different starting point from a paint-ready fiberglass panel.

Review vents, washers, insulation, latch pieces, hinges and support hardware to determine what transfers and what is purchased separately. Care requirements also depend on the actual surface system; Black Ops gel-coat and other manufacturers’ finished panels should not receive one universal maintenance procedure.

Choose Your Part

  • Match exact vehicle generation, trim, hood profile and underhood equipment.
  • Choose fiberglass, carbon-over-fiberglass or the specified full-carbon construction.
  • Check inserts, windows, mesh and hardware supplied with the selected variant.
  • Plan retention, heat protection, hood support, test fitting and final finish.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are all Black Ops hood styles made for the same Grand Cherokee?

No. WK1 and WK2 are different body applications, and style names have generation-specific references. Several listed WK2 hoods also exclude EcoDiesel.

Does every Redeye hood include the vent inserts?

No. The listed Black Ops WK2 Redeye references identify Mopar vent inserts as separate purchases. Review the exact variant’s contents.

Is every carbon-fiber hood full carbon inside and out?

No. Some configurations use a carbon outer with a fiberglass inner; others specify full-carbon construction. Choose the actual variant rather than assuming construction from the exterior appearance.

Will a carbon hood always weigh less than the factory hood?

No universal comparison applies. Use documented weights for the exact factory panel and selected replacement, including relevant hardware.

Can I reuse factory gas struts with a Seibon or Anderson hood?

Follow the manufacturer’s specific restriction. Seibon directs that gas supports not be reinstalled, and Anderson advises removing factory struts. Do not assume an original-hood lift kit is compatible.

Do these composite hoods need hood pins and heat protection?

Seibon and Anderson Composites require both. Black Ops references have their own installation requirements. Follow the exact panel’s instructions and do not rely on latch location alone.

Should I paint the hood before fitting it?

Complete test fitting and alignment first. Verify clearance, mounting and required inserts before paint or other permanent modification.

Does a vented or window hood guarantee more power or cooling?

No. The opening and profile alone do not quantify either result. Choose the design for the actual installation and any documented manufacturer performance evidence.
