A Brief History of Recaro

Founded in 1906 by Wilhelm Reutter, the company began as the Stuttgarter Carosserie- und Radfabrik and pioneered advancements in the automotive industry, including the patenting of the Reform-Karosserie, a precursor to the modern convertible. In 1963, the company transformed into RECARO, specializing in automotive seating and revolutionizing the market with the introduction of the Sport Seat in 1965.
