How does the BMW 325ix AWD system work?

The E30 325ix uses a front viscous coupling unit with a fixed 37/63 front-to-rear torque split in normal operation. Are 325ix suspension parts different from the standard E30?

Yes. The 325ix front suspension uses a different subframe to accommodate the front differential and AWD halfshafts.
