Frequently Asked Questions
Is Airaid 790-550, the Renew Kit - 12oz Cleaner / 8oz Squeeze Oil, correct for my filter media?
Confirm whether the exact filter uses dry or oiled media and use only the cleaner, oil, and quantity approved for that filter.
How much filter oil should be applied?
Use the amount and technique in the current Airaid instructions for the filter size. Over-oiling can contaminate sensors, while under-oiling can reduce the intended protection.
Can the filter be reinstalled while damp?
No. Allow the cleaned filter to dry fully by the approved method before applying oil when required and reinstalling it.
Should compressed air or high heat be used to dry the filter?
Use only Airaid's approved service method. Aggressive air pressure or heat can damage filter media and seals.
Installation Instructions
