Frequently Asked Questions
How do I confirm Old Man Emu OME661 is correct for my vehicle?
Match the listed year, make, and model where published, then confirm drivetrain, axle position, body style, constant accessory load, intended ride height, and every current ARB application note.
Should these dampers be replaced in pairs?
Replace dampers by axle unless ARB expressly specifies otherwise, then inspect the springs, mounts, bushings, bump stops, brake hoses, and alignment.
Will installing these dampers change ride height?
A damper alone does not establish the final ride height. Springs, load, mounting position, trim, suspension geometry, and the complete Old Man Emu setup determine the result.
Installation Instructions
Follow the current ARB instructions and vehicle service information for Old Man Emu part number OME661. Safely support the vehicle, record ride height, use the specified spring-handling and torque procedures, preserve brake, sensor, and tire clearance, verify full suspension travel, then complete the required alignment and fastener rechecks before normal driving.
