This Baer 2000057LP adjustable proportioning valve is machined to mount directly beneath a Remaster master cylinder, so rear brake pressure becomes adjustable without adding a separate bracket or a long run of line. The left port version matches a left port Remaster, and the rear circuit passes through the valve while the front circuit passes straight through to keep the plumbing short and tidy.
| Application | Requirement | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Universal application | Baer Remaster master cylinder | Machined to mount directly under the Remaster |
| Universal application | Left port plumbing | A right port version is offered separately |
Match the port side to the Remaster fitted to the car. Hardlines between the master cylinder and the valve are specific to the Remaster bore size and are supplied separately or as part of a complete kit.

Baer Brakes designs and machines brake systems and hydraulic components in the United States, with a catalogue built around big brake conversions, rotors, master cylinders and the billet Remaster hydraulic range. The Remaster line exists to replace bulky cast master cylinders with a compact billet unit that keeps the engine bay clean while accepting either inverted flare or banjo plumbing.
It limits how much pressure reaches the rear brakes, which stops the rear tyres locking before the front when tyre sizes, brake hardware or vehicle weight differ from the original setup.
Does it control the front brakes as well? No. The valve controls the rear circuit and provides a pass through for the front circuit so the plumbing stays simple.
How do I know whether to order left or right port?Match the valve to the port side of the Remaster master cylinder already fitted or being purchased. A right port version is available for right port units.
Can it be used with banjo fittings?Yes. Leave the brass seats out for straight banjo fittings, or install them for inverted flare fittings.
What size are the tube nuts?Four 3/8 inch by 24 tube nuts are supplied with the valve.
Are the hardlines to the master cylinder included? No. The pre bent hardlines are sold separately because they are specific to the Remaster bore size, and they are also bundled in the complete Remaster kits.
Where should the valve be set to start with?Start with a conservative setting that reduces rear pressure, then increase it in small steps during controlled low speed testing until braking is balanced.
Does it work on a manual brake car?Yes. It works with manual brake systems and with boosted systems, because it acts on hydraulic pressure to the rear circuit.
Will it bolt to a non Baer master cylinder? It is machined specifically for the Remaster mounting pattern, so it is intended for a Remaster rather than a generic cast master cylinder.
