Installation Instructions
- Turn off the vehicle and disable the regenerative braking system per VW service procedures before beginning brake work.
- Raise and support the vehicle safely and remove the front wheels.
- Remove the brake caliper bolts and slide the caliper off the rotor. Support with a hanger to avoid brake hose strain.
- Remove the old brake pads and clean the caliper bracket sliding surfaces.
- Apply the provided lubricant to the bracket sliding surfaces only. Keep lubricant off the rotor and pad friction surfaces.
- Install the new P85147 hardware clips and seat the pads in the bracket.
- Retract the caliper piston using a caliper piston tool.
- Slide the caliper back over the new pads and torque the caliper bolts to the factory specification.
- Reinstall the wheels and torque the lug nuts to spec.
- Press the brake pedal firmly several times to seat the pads before driving.
