The included Stage Series Rock Lights use a simple 3-wire system. One wire handles the cool white output, a second wire activates the amber output, and the third is the common ground. By wiring both outputs to your switch, you can switch between white and amber from inside the vehicle without any additional controller or programming. The DD8911 includes amber as the secondary output alongside cool white. The DD8910 includes red as the secondary output alongside cool white. Red is popular for emergency signaling, rock crawling, and situations where you want strong color contrast. Both kits are otherwise mechanically and electrically identical.

Yes. Diode Dynamics designs the Stage Series Rock Lights with interchangeable lenses, which snap in and out without tools. You can swap between amber and white diffused lenses to change the color output, or experiment with other available Stage Series lens options sold separately.

Each Stage Series Rock Light draws 1.1 amps at 13.2V on high power. With four lights running simultaneously, total current draw is approximately 4.4 amps. This is well within the capacity of a standard automotive circuit with a 10-amp fuse, and the included harness is designed for this load.

Installation Instructions

1. Dry-fit all four brackets to your rack rails before beginning wiring to confirm mounting positions and confirm clearance with any installed accessories.
2. Mount each angled rack bracket to the rack rail using the included hardware, positioning lights to direct output outward and downward for maximum scene coverage.
3. Attach one Stage Series Rock Light to each bracket using the included bolt and washer. Insert the wiring through the bracket channel to keep the harness clean and protected.
4. Connect each rock light to a 5m M8 extension wire and route extensions along the rack rail, using the wire retention strip to secure wiring at regular intervals.
5. Connect all four extension wires to the M8 4-way splitter harness.
6. Route the main harness from the splitter down the vehicle to the switch panel or power source, keeping wiring clear of heat sources and moving parts.
7. Connect the positive leads to your switch or fuse block and route the ground wire to a clean chassis ground point.
8. Secure all wiring with included zip ties and test both white and amber outputs before completing the installation.
