The Driveshaft Shop RA4000L0 is a Level 0 performance axle engineered as a direct replacement for the right-side axle on 1994 to 2001 Acura Integra DC2 and DC4 chassis equipped with a hydraulic B-Series transmission. This axle uses a chromoly center bar, a real billet inner CV, a larger oversized tripod, and a new heat treat process on the 1117 billet outer. What is the difference between RA4000L0 and RA3995L0?RA4000L0 is the right-side axle for the 1994 to 2001 Acura Integra DC2/DC4. RA3995L0 is the left-side axle for the same fitment. They are sold separately. Driveshaft Shop also offers them as a pair under part number DSS510076 when both sides are needed.
Does the RA4000L0 fit the Honda Civic EG or EK with a hydraulic B-Series swap?Yes. The RA4000L0 is also compatible with 1992 to 2000 Honda Civic EG and EK chassis equipped with a hydraulic B-Series transmission. Verify your transmission type before ordering.
Is this axle compatible with ABS-equipped Integras?Yes. The RA4000L0 includes removable ABS rings and is compatible with ABS-equipped DC2 and DC4 chassis.
What horsepower level does the RA4000L0 support?The Level 0 axle is rated as an OEM-level street replacement. Driveshaft Shop does not assign a horsepower rating to this axle. If you are running more than stock power levels, the Level 2.9 (RA4000X2) or X4 series axles are the correct upgrade.
Can I use the RA4000L0 with a cable-operated B-Series transmission?No. This axle is designed for hydraulic B-Series transmissions only. Cable-operated transmissions use a different tripod and inner housing geometry that is not compatible.
Does the Driveshaft Shop RA4000L0 come with any warranty?Driveshaft Shop does not offer a warranty against breakage on Level 0 axles. These are built as a quality swap or replacement axle, not a racing axle. Physical breakage from abuse or overloading is not covered.
How does the single arc outer CV compare to the factory Honda design?The factory Honda outer CV uses a dual arc design that tends to develop wear at the transition point between arcs over time. Driveshaft Shop's single arc billet outer eliminates that transition point, resulting in longer wear life under normal street use conditions.
What is the difference between Level 0, Level 2.9, and Level 3.9 axles from Driveshaft Shop?Level 0 is an OEM-level replacement with no HP rating. Level 2.9 is rated for up to 475 horsepower at the wheels and uses upgraded internals. Level 3.9 is a full hub and axle kit rated for up to 600 horsepower. Choose the level based on your current and planned power output.
Installation Notes
- Lift and safely support the vehicle on jack stands before beginning axle removal.
- Remove the wheel and brake caliper assembly to access the axle hub nut.
- Remove the hub nut and disengage the outer CV from the hub using appropriate tools.
- Remove the inner CV from the transmission by carefully prying or pulling the axle shaft free.
- Inspect the inner CV seal and differential housing for wear or damage before installing the new axle.
- Insert the inner CV of the RA4000L0 into the transmission until the retaining clip seats fully.
- Seat the outer CV into the wheel hub and torque the hub nut to factory specification.
- Reinstall the brake caliper, wheel, and lower the vehicle.
- Verify smooth rotation and check for any leaks before driving.
