This is the Fox 803-23-705 seal rebuild kit, the set of wipers, O-rings and wear bands that reseals a single Fox 2.0 Performance Series shock with a 0.625 in (5/8 in) shaft. It covers both the shock body and the reservoir, so an IFP damper or a remote-reservoir damper can be serviced from the one kit.

What if the shock has a 10-24 nitrogen screw port?Those dampers cannot be recharged without an adapter valve or the Fox charge tool, so plan the tooling before disassembly.
Is the air-valve pellet included?Yes, the nitrile needle pellet is in the kit at 0.275 in diameter by 0.250 in long.
Are shock oil and nitrogen supplied?No. The kit is seals and soft parts only; oil and gas are purchased separately.
Installation Instructions
- Work on a clean bench with the damper fully discharged of nitrogen before any disassembly, and wear eye protection.
- Note the shaft's extended position and the reservoir orientation before taking anything apart, so it can be reassembled the same way.
- Remove the bottom end cap using the correct end-cap removal tool rather than improvising, then drain and measure the old oil volume.
- Withdraw the shaft assembly, strip the old wipers, O-rings and wear bands, and inspect the shaft and bore for scoring before reusing them.
- Fit the new bearing-cap wiper, shaft bearing wiper, internal and external O-rings and the thin O-ring under the piston wear band, lubricating each seal with shock oil.
- Use a shaft bullet over the shaft end when passing the seal head back on, so the new seals are not cut on the threads or shoulder.
- Fit the reservoir piston wear band, its thick O-ring and the end-cap O-ring, then reassemble the reservoir.
- Refill with the specified oil volume, bleed the damper, fit the new nitrile needle pellet, and recharge with nitrogen using the needle tool or the Fox 803-01-213 filling tool.
- Cycle the damper by hand and check for leaks at the shaft, end cap and reservoir before refitting it to the vehicle.
