This FTI F1042 Ultra-Bell bellhousing bolts directly onto an OEM TH350 or TH400 case and replaces a stock bellhousing that has cracked, been damaged, or simply is not strong enough for a serious build. It is cast as one solid piece of aluminum, which makes it noticeably stronger than the factory bellhousing it replaces. The housing is SFI 30.1 certified, so it meets the safety requirement most sanctioning bodies require for high horsepower automatic transmission cars at the track.

Installation Instructions
- Remove the transmission from the vehicle and support it securely on a stand.
- Remove the factory bellhousing bolts and separate the stock bellhousing from the case.
- Test fit the new bellhousing against the front pump to confirm it sits flat with no interference.
- Count the pump bolt holes to confirm a 6 bolt or 8 bolt configuration, and install the supplied pipe plugs in any unused holes on a 6 bolt pump.
- Position the bell to pump gasket between the bellhousing and the pump.
- Install the supplied flange head bolts with sealing rings and hand tighten each one evenly.
- Torque each bellhousing bolt to 18 ft-lbs in a star pattern to seat the housing flat against the case.
- Confirm the SFI certification tag numbers match the stamped numbers on the housing before returning the transmission to service.
