Installation Instructions

1. Raise and support the Viper on jackstands and remove both front wheels.
2. Remove the caliper mounting bolts and slide the caliper free of the rotor. Support the caliper do not let it hang from the brake line.
3. Remove the old pads and clean the pad slides and abutment surfaces on the caliper bracket.
4. Compress the front caliper pistons with a C-clamp or piston press tool until flush with the caliper bore.
5. Seat the HB194C.665 HPX pads in the carrier and confirm they are properly retained before reinstalling the caliper.
6. Torque caliper bolts to the Dodge Viper factory specification for the applicable model year.
7. Reinstall wheels, torque lug nuts, and pump the pedal repeatedly until firm resistance is felt before moving the vehicle.
8. Complete the Hawk bed-in cycle on track before hard braking use: multiple moderate-load decelerations followed by full cool-down intervals.
