Installation Overview

The FRC-4000 is a clamp-on, no-drill installation. Tools needed: ratchet with 9/16 and 7/16 sockets, tape measure, scissors. Two people recommended for canister placement.

1. Attach canister liner and lift handles to the canister before bringing it to the truck.
2. Install drain tubes on each side of the canister.
3. Assemble driver-side and passenger-side rail assemblies on a workbench, installing the canister bracket latch and spacer onto each rail with nyllock nuts.
4. Set the driver-side rail in the truck bed using the included tailgate spacer tool (1/8 inch gap) to set correct front-to-back position. Secure with the provided T-nuts and bolts using a 9/16 socket.
5. Repeat for the passenger-side rail.
6. Measure inside T-slot spacing at front and rear to confirm rails are parallel. Add shims between rail and bracket if adjustment is needed.
7. With two people, lift the canister into the bed and lower it onto the rail brackets. Slide toward the tailgate to engage the latching pins on both sides.
8. Secure the draw latches on each side and install the cotter pins.
9. Connect drain tube couplers to the bed wall using adhesive promoter and provided Velcro.
10. Remove lift handles before driving. Test cover operation and lock function.
11. Recheck clamp bolt torque after the first week of use.
