Trail Ready Damping Engineered For The Ram 1500
Skyjacker built the M2091 ADX M2.0 Adventure Series Aluminum Monotube Shock to bring race inspired damping control to daily driven and trail driven rigs alike. This front position shock uses an impact extruded, CNC machined aluminum monotube body that sheds heat far quicker than a conventional steel shock, keeping the valving consistent even after a long stretch of rough road or a hard day on the trail. Inside, a full displaced valving system pulled from off road racing technology paired with high pressure nitrogen gas and an internal floating piston keeps it reacting quickly and predictably no matter how demanding the terrain gets. Owners of the 1994-2005 Ram 1500 looking to upgrade worn out factory dampers or finish out a Skyjacker lift will find this shock restores composed, controlled handling while improving overall ride comfort.

FAQ
What is the M2091?The M2091 is a Skyjacker ADX M2.0 Adventure Series Aluminum Monotube Shock designed for the front position on the 1994-2005 Ram 1500.
Is this a direct fit for my Ram 1500?Yes, it is engineered as a direct fit front shock for the 1994-2005 Ram 1500 listed in the fitment table above with no cutting or drilling required.
Does it include a remote reservoir? No, this is a monotube design without a remote reservoir, which keeps the packaging compact while still using the same nitrogen gas and IFP technology found in Skyjacker's reservoir equipped shocks.
Can I install it on a stock, non lifted vehicle? This shock is valved for the specific application and lift range noted by Skyjacker for the 1994-2005 Ram 1500, so confirm your ride height and lift kit specifications before ordering.
Do I need to replace shocks in pairs?Skyjacker recommends replacing shocks as a front pair or rear pair together so damping stays balanced side to side on the Ram 1500.
What warranty comes with the M2091?It carries a 2 year limited warranty from Skyjacker against defects in material and workmanship.
Will it fade or lose performance on long trail runs? The aluminum monotube body dissipates heat quickly, and the nitrogen charged IFP design helps resist fade during extended off road driving.
Is professional installation required?Installation of the M2091 is a bolt on remove and replace procedure that most experienced DIY installers can complete with common hand tools, though professional installation is always recommended if you are unfamiliar with suspension work.
Install Instructions
- Park the Ram 1500 on level ground, set the parking brake, and chock the wheels opposite the end being serviced.
- Raise and support the vehicle with jack stands at the manufacturer specified lift points.
- Remove the wheel and tire assembly on the side being serviced.
- Support the axle or control arm with a jack to relieve tension on the factory shock.
- Remove the factory front shock at the upper and lower mounts.
- Install the new M2091 shock at the upper mount first, then connect the lower mount using factory hardware, leaving fasteners snug but not fully torqued.
- Reinstall the wheel and tire, then lower the vehicle to the ground.
- With full vehicle weight on the tires, torque the upper and lower shock mounts to the manufacturer's specification.
- Cycle the suspension and steering lock to lock to confirm clearance, then road test.
