The Skyjacker 179 Softride coil spring set delivers a 9 inch front lift for 1970 to 1972 Ford F-100 and related Bronco and F-150 4 wheel drive trucks. Formed from 5160H chromium alloy steel, this set of two springs offers higher tensile strength and a longer service life than standard replacement coils. Install Instructions
- Raise and support the vehicle on jack stands, then support the axle with a floor jack.
- Remove the factory spring by disconnecting the shackles, U-bolts and mounting hardware.
- Position the new Skyjacker spring and reinstall the shackles, U-bolts and mounting hardware.
- Torque all mounting hardware to manufacturer specifications.
- Lower the vehicle to the ground and cycle the suspension through full travel.
- Perform a wheel alignment check before returning the vehicle to normal service.
