- Raise and safely support the rear of the Excursion, then remove the wheel if needed for access
- Remove the factory shock absorber from the upper and lower mounts
- Position the M9534 in the mounting location, confirming correct top-to-bottom orientation
- Install and torque the upper mounting hardware to factory specification
- Install and torque the lower mounting hardware to factory specification
- Lower the vehicle and repeat on the opposite side if replacing both shocks
