It can be added to any vehicle regardless of whether the original design used an electric fan, as long as you install the temperature sensor in a compatible coolant fitting and run appropriate wiring.

Below the low-temperature threshold of the sensor the fan does not run. As coolant temperature rises into the sensor's operating range, the fan begins to spin and increases speed as temperature climbs. At the high threshold the fan reaches maximum speed. This proportional control reduces electrical load and fan noise at lower temperatures.

Installation Instructions

1. Confirm the shroud has a 12-inch opening and enough depth to accommodate the drop-in fan body.
2. Position the fan with the motor facing away from the radiator (puller orientation).
3. Secure mounting tabs to the shroud with appropriate fasteners.
4. Connect the SBL-YAZ-PT10 pigtail harness to the fan connector.
5. Attach the SBL-TS-HARN harness between the pigtail and the temperature sensor.
6. Thread the temperature sensor into a 3/8-inch NPT port in the radiator or cooling system.
7. Route all wiring away from exhaust and moving components and secure with loom or zip ties.
8. Run power and ground in 10-gauge wire with a 30-amp inline fuse close to the battery terminal.
9. Run the engine to operating temperature and confirm the fan activates correctly.
10. Check all fasteners and connections after the first heat soak and test drive.
