Installation Instructions
- Park the vehicle on a level surface, apply the parking brake, chock the rear wheels and raise and support the front safely on stands.
- Locate the two front sway bar mount brackets on the chassis and clean away dirt, gravel and corrosion.
- Support the sway bar so it cannot drop, then remove the fasteners from the first mount bracket.
- Remove the bracket and slide the worn bushing off the bar.
- Clean the bar at the mounting position and inspect it for wear steps, deep corrosion or damage.
- Apply a suitable suspension grease to the bore of the new bushing and fit it to the bar with the split closed against the bar.
- Refit the bracket over the bushing and start the fasteners by hand.
- Repeat the same steps on the second mount so both SPF2506-29K bushings are in place before final tightening.
- Torque all bracket fasteners to the vehicle manufacturer specification and check that the bar rotates in the bushings without binding.
- Lower the vehicle, road test it and recheck the bracket fasteners after the first short drive.
