Installation Instructions
- Remove the cylinder head from the engine and clean all mating surfaces.
- Heat the cylinder head evenly to approximately 150-180 degrees C to expand the guide bores.
- Press out the old valve guides using a proper guide driver and hydraulic press.
- With the head still warm, press the new SPTGDE-NVQ35-12 guides in to the correct installed height using the appropriate driver.
- Allow the head to cool to room temperature.
- Ream the new guides to the correct stem-to-guide clearance as specified by your engine builder.
- Verify clearance with a dial bore gauge before proceeding with valve installation.
- Install valves, springs, retainers, and seals per standard head assembly procedure.
