The Whiteline W53620 kit replaces the front lower control arm inner rear bushing on the tenth generation Honda Civic. This position carries most of the fore and aft braking load, so the supplied housings and synthetic elastomer bushings keep the arm located and maintain tyre contact where the worn factory bushing has started to deflect.

The Type R FK8 uses a different front suspension package and is not covered by the W53620 kit. The kit replaces the inner rear bushing position only and does not include the control arm, the inner front bushing, the lower ball joint or mounting fasteners.

What is the W53620?It is the Whiteline front lower control arm inner rear bushing kit for the tenth generation Honda Civic, supplied with two bushings and two housings.
Which Civic models does it fit?It fits the 2016 to 2021 Civic FC sedan and FK hatchback, including Si and RS, but the Type R FK8 is excluded.
Why does this bushing position matter?The inner rear bushing takes most of the fore and aft load under braking, so wear here reduces braking stability and lets the front arm move under load.

Is a press required to fit the kit?The design reduces the tools and skill needed compared with pressing a bonded bushing, but the control arm still has to be removed and the bushing bore cleaned before assembly.
Is a wheel alignment needed afterwards?Yes. The front lower control arm is disturbed during the job, so a front alignment check after installation is recommended.

Installation Instructions
- Park the car on a level surface, apply the parking brake and raise and support the front of the vehicle safely on stands.
- Remove the front road wheels and inspect the lower control arms, the inner rear bushing area and the surrounding fasteners.
- Loosen the inner rear bushing fasteners while the suspension is still supported to avoid unloading the arm suddenly.
- Detach the lower control arm at the inner mounting points and lower it far enough to work on the inner rear bushing position.
- Remove the original inner rear bushing assembly and clean the mounting bore and the arm surfaces of dirt, corrosion and old rubber.
- Apply the supplied Whiteline grease to the bushing bore and to the mating surfaces of the housing.
- Assemble each W53620 bushing into its housing and fit the assembly to the control arm position as the instructions show.
- Repeat the same sequence on the opposite side so both arms are rebuilt before final tightening.
- Reconnect the control arm at its mounting points and start all fasteners by hand.
- Load the suspension back to normal ride height, then torque every fastener to the Honda service specification.
- Refit the wheels, lower the car, road test it and then have the front alignment checked and the fasteners rechecked.
