The Whiteline KLC248 rear sway bar link drop kit solves one of the most common and overlooked problems on lifted Toyota 4Runner and Lexus GX460 builds equipped with KDSS (Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System). When you add a suspension lift to a KDSS-equipped vehicle, the factory sway bar end links are no longer at their correct angle. The result is constant preload on the sway bar, reduced suspension articulation, and handling geometry that fights your lift instead of working with it. The KLC248 corrects the link geometry by relocating the mounting point downward to match your new ride height, restoring the factory suspension feel and maximum flex your build is capable of. KLC248 fits the 2009-2024 Toyota 4Runner and the 2010-2024 Lexus GX460, but only on vehicles equipped with factory KDSS.
KDSS is an active hydraulic sway bar system that decouples the front and rear sway bars during off-road articulation and re-engages them under highway load. The system depends on the end links sitting at a precise angle to function correctly. Lifting a KDSS vehicle without correcting the link geometry puts the hydraulic actuators under constant stress and locks the sway bar in a partially active state, defeating the off-road capability that makes KDSS desirable in the first place. The Whiteline KLC248 uses precision-machined spacers and high-strength hardware to relocate the link attachment point without requiring any modification to the KDSS system, the sway bar itself, or the factory hydraulics. Installation takes approximately two hours and requires only common hand tools.

Safely lift and support the rear of the vehicle. Locate the rear sway bar end links on both sides. Remove the OEM end link hardware from the lower mount points. Install the Whiteline KLC248 drop spacers and bushings using the included high-tensile bolts. Torque all fasteners to the specification provided in the Whiteline installation guide included with the kit. Lower the vehicle and inspect for clearance. A short test drive on smooth pavement is recommended before taking the vehicle off-road. If you are not comfortable performing suspension work, have a qualified suspension shop perform the installation.
Aftermarket suspension systems improve handling, ride quality, and ride height adjustment beyond what the factory suspension provides. From lowering springs and coilover kits for sport handling to lift kits and leveling kits for truck and SUV off-road capability, quality suspension components transform how a vehicle rides and handles. Popular Suspension Upgrades Popular suspension upgrades include coilover kits for adjustable ride height and damping, sport lowering springs for improved handling and reduced body roll, performance shock absorbers and strut assemblies, sway bar and end link upgrade kits, subframe brace kits, and complete suspension packages for lifted trucks and off-road SUVs. Alignment kits including camber bolts and camber arms are also frequently ordered after ride height changes. What is the difference between coilovers and lowering springs? Coilovers are complete shock and spring assemblies with adjustable ride height set by threading the spring perch on the shock...
