Install Instructions
- Remove the differential cover and drain the gear oil.
- Remove the ring and pinion, carrier, and pinion bearing assembly per your housing's service procedure.
- Position the SK F10.5-CONV spacer at the pinion mounting location as specified in the conversion instructions.
- Install the Ford 10.25 inch pinion gear along with the correct bearing kit for this conversion.
- Set pinion depth using gear marking compound and adjust shims as needed.
- Install the ring gear and carrier, then check and adjust backlash to specification.
- Recheck the gear pattern, torque all fasteners to spec, and refill with the correct gear oil.
- Reinstall the differential cover with a new gasket and torque bolts in sequence.
