The Zone Offroad D70N is a 4WD-only application for the new-body Ram 1500 and does not fit the Ram 1500 Classic/DS body, Ram 1500 RHO, or Ram 1500 TRX, which use different front suspension. The kit is not compatible with factory air-ride suspension or Bilstein leveling struts. Factory wheels and tires cannot be reinstalled after installation due to clearance at the upper ball joint.

What torque do the upper control arm ball joint nuts require?26 ft-lbs plus an additional 180 degrees using a new crown nut and cotter pin. Do not loosen the nut to align the cotter pin.
Is an alignment needed after installation?Yes, a front-end alignment is required after installation, and headlight aim should be rechecked as well.
What is the warranty on this kit?Zone Offroad backs hard parts with a limited lifetime warranty to the original purchaser for as long as they own the vehicle it was installed on.
Installation Instructions
- Raise and support the front of the truck, remove the wheels, and disconnect the sway-bar links from the lower control arms.
- Separate the upper ball joint and tie-rod end from the steering knuckle using a ball-joint separation tool; do not strike the knuckle with a hammer.
- Remove the brake caliper and rotor, disconnect the ABS wire, and remove the strut assembly.
- Compress the coil spring with a strut compressor, mark alignment points, and install the strut spacer, preload rings, and 3/4-inch poly top spacer per the included instructions.
- Reinstall the strut assembly and attach it to the frame, leaving hardware loose.
- Remove the factory upper control arms and install the new Zone Offroad upper control arms with factory hardware.
- Reattach the steering knuckle to the new upper control arm with a new crown nut and cotter pin; torque to 26 ft-lbs plus 180 degrees.
- Reinstall the brake rotor and caliper, torquing the caliper bracket bolts to 59 ft-lbs plus 55 degrees.
- Reattach the tie-rod end and torque to 45 ft-lbs plus 90 degrees.
- Torque the upper strut hardware to 40 ft-lbs, the lower strut hardware to 124 ft-lbs, and the upper control-arm hardware to 128 ft-lbs.
- Reattach the sway-bar link and torque to 88 ft-lbs, then reinstall the wheels and lower the truck.
- Adjust the headlights and perform a front-end alignment. Recheck all hardware torque after 500 miles.
