The Zone Offroad D1202 is a 4WD-only application and does not fit the Ram 1500 RHO or Ram 1500 TRX, which use different front suspension. Installation Instructions
- Park the vehicle on a clean, flat surface, block the rear wheels, then raise and support the front of the truck on jack stands and remove the front wheels.
- Disconnect the sway bar links from the lower control arms, then separate the upper ball joint and tie rod end from the steering knuckle using the appropriate puller tools.
- Disconnect the brake caliper bracket and ABS wire, remove the brake rotor, then remove the lower and upper strut bolts and take the strut assembly out of the vehicle.
- Mark the strut body, cap, and upper coil seat for reassembly alignment, then compress the coil spring with a strut compressor and remove the upper strut nut to access the strut cap.
- Install the provided preload spacers and new bolts into the strut cap, reassemble the strut with the top spacer in place, and torque the strut nut to 52 ft-lbs.
- Reinstall the strut assembly, lower control arm, and factory hardware, then torque the upper strut hardware to 40 ft-lbs and the lower strut hardware to 124 ft-lbs.
- Reinstall the brake rotor and caliper, tie rod end, and sway bar link, torquing each to Zone Offroad's specified values, then reinstall the wheels.
- Lower the vehicle, adjust the headlights, and have a front-end alignment performed before returning the truck to normal use. Recheck all hardware torque after 500 miles.
