How do I match a yoke to my driveshaft?

Yokes must match both the differential pinion flange dimension and the U-joint series size used by your driveshaft. Measure the pinion flange diameter and confirm the U-joint cap size before ordering. Mixing yoke series with mismatched U-joints causes immediate failure under load.

Can I replace a differential yoke without a press?

Pinion yoke removal requires a yoke puller tool and a way to hold the yoke stationary while breaking the pinion nut loose. Most installations do not require a press, but you will need a torque wrench to set pinion nut preload correctly and avoid crushing the bearing preload setup.
