A Brief History of SHW

• 1365: The foundation of SHW (Schwabische Huttenwerke) as an iron ore extraction and smelting company in Germany.
• 1696: Establishment of the first purpose-built plant in Tuttlingen, Germany.
• 1925: Release of a prototype car featuring advanced design elements such as a lightweight aluminum chassis.
• 1964: Collaboration with Porsche to develop the first internal ventilated brake disc, featured on the iconic Porsche 911.
• 1993: Joint development of the first 'Pin-Disc Brake Rotor' with BMW Motorsport.
• 2008: Production begins on 'Pin Drive Brake Disc Rotors' for road cars.
• 2011: SHW goes public on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange.
• 2019: Introduction of SHW Performance with a focus on the automotive aftermarket and performance industry.
