Injector Dynamics ID1750-XDS Injectors in the 48 mm 14 mm Configuration, Matched Set of Four

This is the plain version of the 48 mm ID1750-XDS: a 14 mm top O-ring and a 14 mm lower O-ring, with no adapter top and no bottom spacer. Injector Dynamics lists it in a set of four against eight application rows, most of them Honda and Acura four-cylinders, plus the Dodge and Chrysler SRT-4 cars and the Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec V.

The imported title described only dimensions, which told a buyer nothing about which car the set belongs to. The application list is the useful part: Civic Si 02-05, Civic 06-11, S2000 06-09, RSX 02-09, TSX 04-10, Sentra SE-R Spec V 00-06, and the Neon and Caliber SRT-4. Several of those rows carry bounded years and become searchable fitment; the two SRT-4 rows do not, and are documented rather than guessed at.

Key Features

  • Plain 48 mm configuration with 14 mm top and lower O-rings and no bottom adapter
  • Listed for Civic Si 02-05, Civic 06-11, S2000 06-09, RSX 02-09, TSX 04-10, Sentra SE-R Spec V and the Neon and Caliber SRT-4
  • Matched set of four, consistent with the manufacturer's published per-set pricing for this number
  • Different part number from the otherwise similar 48 mm set with the black bottom adapter, which serves a separate application list
  • Rated at 1728 cc/min at 3.0 bar (43.5 psi) on E10 emissions certification fuel, with a published maximum differential fuel pressure of 7.0 bar
  • Compatible with methanol, ethanol, MTBE, nitromethane and all known hydrocarbon fuels, with a USCAR electrical connector
  • Published dynamic flow and offset data from 8 to 16 volts across the working pressure range, for direct entry into an engine management system

Fitment

Years Make Model Notes
2002-2005 Honda Civic Si Published as Civic 02-05 Si
2006-2011 Honda Civic Published as Civic 06-11
2006-2009 Honda S2000 Published as S2000 06-09; the 00-05 car uses a different number
2002-2006 Acura RSX Published as RSX 02-09; tagged to the years the RSX was actually built
2004-2010 Acura TSX Published as TSX 04-10
2002-2006 Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec V Published as Sentra SE-R Spec V 00-06; tagged to the years the Spec V was actually built
Not published Dodge / Chrysler Neon SRT-4 No model years published, so no tag is created
Not published Dodge / Chrysler Caliber SRT-4 No model years published, so no tag is created

Two rows were narrowed rather than copied. Injector Dynamics publishes RSX 02-09 and Sentra SE-R Spec V 00-06, but the Acura RSX was built through 2006 and the Spec V arrived for 2002, so tagging the published ranges verbatim would advertise fitment for cars that do not exist. The tags use the overlap of the manufacturer range and real production. Both SRT-4 rows are listed without years and stay out of the tag set entirely.

What's Included

  • Four Injector Dynamics ID1750-XDS fuel injectors in the 1750.48.14.14.4 configuration, supplied as one dynamically matched set.
  • There is no published contents list for this configuration, so spare O-rings, retainer clips and harness components should be ordered alongside rather than expected inside.
  • Injector Dynamics supplies characterization data as a published table rather than a printed insert, and states that the data is under continual improvement.

About Injector Dynamics

Injector Dynamics positions the ID1750-XDS above its ID1300 and ID1050 units for engines that have outgrown them. The manufacturer states compatibility with methanol, ethanol, MTBE, nitromethane and all known hydrocarbon fuels, and rates the injector on E10 emissions certification fuel.

FAQ

Where does the flow figure come from?

It is the manufacturer's nominal rating for the ID1750-XDS, taken on E10 emissions certification fuel at 49 C.

How high can the fuel system be run?

Stay inside the published 7.0 bar (101.5 psi) maximum differential fuel pressure.

Is nitromethane really on the compatibility list?

Yes. The published fuel-compatibility statement names methanol, ethanol, MTBE, nitromethane and all known hydrocarbon fuels.

Are the connector pins polarity sensitive?

No. The connector is a USCAR type and the manufacturer states its injector connectors are not polarity specific.

Can one injector be bought to top up a set?

The manufacturer matches injectors in sets and directs customers who need a single replacement to contact its support team.

What does the manufacturer require to keep the warranty valid?

Correct fuel type and proper fuel filtration; the manufacturer states that neglecting either reduces longevity and is not covered.

Will cleaning always restore flow?

Injector Dynamics states that where filtration or fuel-system maintenance has been neglected, it cannot guarantee lodged particles will come free.

Why does characterization matter on an injector this size?

Because short pulse widths dominate at idle and cruise, and that is exactly where offset errors turn into fuelling errors.

Can this be fitted to a daily-driven car?

The manufacturer does not certify it for road use, so that decision has to account for local emissions rules.

Which Honda and Acura cars is this listed for?

Civic Si 02-05, Civic 06-11, S2000 06-09, RSX 02-09 and TSX 04-10, according to the manufacturer application table.

Does this fit the 2000-2005 S2000?

No. That car is listed under a different configuration with an 11 mm top, so the two are not interchangeable.

Why is the RSX tag 2002-2006 when the table says 02-09?

The Acura RSX was built through 2006. Tagging the published range verbatim would claim fitment on model years that were never produced, so the tag uses the real production overlap.

Why do the SRT-4 applications have no fitment tag?

Injector Dynamics publishes the Neon SRT-4 and Caliber SRT-4 rows without model years. A tag without a verified year range would be a guess, so those applications appear in the fitment table instead.

How is this different from the black bottom adapter version?

The black bottom adapter number is a separate part with its own application list. This one uses a plain 14 mm lower O-ring and covers the Honda, Acura, Nissan and SRT-4 rows.

Does the imported 48 mm wording come from the manufacturer?

The numeric segments match the manufacturer's configuration code, but the millimetre wording came from the importer data. Injector Dynamics publishes no dimensional drawing for this number.

Installation Instructions

Injector Dynamics does not publish a step-by-step installation for this part number. Use the notes below for the injector-specific cautions and the factory service information for everything to do with the engine and the rail.

  1. Confirm that part number 1750.48.14.14.4 is the configuration Injector Dynamics lists for the Honda, Acura, Nissan and Dodge/Chrysler four-cylinder applications listed for this number before anything is removed from the engine.
  2. Take down the connector-base serial numbers for all injectors in the set before installation, and keep them with the build records.
  3. Discharge fuel pressure, isolate the supply and remove the rail per the factory service information, which is the only published procedure for this engine.
  4. Keep the molded O-ring retainer intact; removal is a manufacturer-directed modification and is permanent.
  5. Check that the injector seats fully in the rail and in the port with the 48 mm and its listed interfaces before committing to the install.
  6. If connectors are being made up, strip 5 mm or so of insulation, run the wire through the seal into the terminal, confirm the conductor is in the crimp section, then crimp.
  7. Connect the two pins in whichever order suits the loom, since the manufacturer states the connectors are not polarity specific.
  8. Fastener torque must be taken from the applicable factory service information. None is published by Injector Dynamics for this configuration.
  9. Pull the newest ID1750-XDS characterization table and enter it into the engine management system ahead of the first start.
  10. Pressure-test before the first start, hunt for leaks at every joint, and confirm the fuel filter arrangement is up to the manufacturer's standard.
