Installation Instructions
- Confirm GD507-10650C matches the listed application and configuration before disassembly.
- Measure the vehicle ride height from the ground to the center of the wheel well before disassembly.
- Park the vehicle on a stable, level surface and follow appropriate lifting and support procedures.
- Unbolt the front upper shock mounts from inside the engine bay.
- Raise and support the vehicle by the frame with suitable jack stands, then remove the front wheels.
- Remove the sway-bar end links.
- Unbolt the lower shock mounting bolts and remove the original shocks.
- Remove the cotter pin from the lower ball joint and loosen the castle nut without removing it.
- Separate the lower ball joint from the spindle with a suitable ball-joint separator.
- Use a spring compressor to compress the original coil spring and remove spring tension from the lower control arm.
- With spring tension removed, remove the ball-joint nut and the original spring.
- For applicable GM cars, remove the welded nuts or U-clips used for the original shock mount on the factory control arms.
- Install the QA1 front coil-over system using the vehicle-specific mounting locations and hardware requirements.
- Lubricate the shock threads with anti-seize before using the spanner wrench to adjust the spring-seat adjuster.
- Set an initial ride height, then reinstall the sway-bar end links and front wheels.
- Lower the vehicle and bounce the suspension to help seat the springs.
- Recheck ride height and make additional adjustments as needed.
- After setting ride height, tighten the lock nut against the spring-seat adjuster.
- Have a reputable alignment shop perform an alignment after installation and ride height changes.
