Installation Instructions

  1. Safely lift and support the vehicle on jack stands with the wheels off the ground. Do not work under a vehicle supported only by a floor jack.
  2. Locate the factory engine mount on the side being replaced. The CTS-V has a mount on each side of the engine block.
  3. Support the engine from below using a floor jack with a block of wood to protect the oil pan before removing the mount.
  4. Remove the factory engine mount hardware and lower the mount away from the engine block and subframe bracket.
  5. Position the UMI 2600-R into place, aligning the bracket with the subframe and engine block mounting holes.
  6. Install the hardware and torque to the factory specification for your application. Refer to the CTS-V service manual for the correct torque values.
  7. Carefully lower the engine onto the new mount by lowering the floor jack.
  8. Verify the mount is seated correctly and all fasteners are torqued before lowering the vehicle.
  9. Start the vehicle and check for unusual vibration or noise. A slight increase in NVH at idle compared to stock rubber mounts is normal with polyurethane.
