Complete tubular rear control arm kit built to correct A-Body rear geometry
The UMI Performance ABR401-R rear suspension kit replaces the factory stamped steel control arms on 1965-1967 GM A-Body cars with a full tubular upper and lower control arm package. ABR401-R is built from 1.500 inch by 0.120 inch DOM tubing, CNC machined and MIG/TIG welded for a stronger, more precise rear suspension geometry than the factory arms allow. The kit ships with Energy Suspension polyurethane rear end housing bushings and a complete GM hardware kit, so the full rear control arm setup installs as one direct bolt-in package finished in red powder coat.

Install Instructions
- Support the vehicle safely on jack stands with the rear axle unloaded.
- Remove the factory upper and lower rear control arms from the frame and rear axle housing.
- Press the Energy Suspension polyurethane bushings into the rear axle housing mounts.
- Install the new tubular lower control arms at the factory frame and housing mounting points.
- Install the new tubular upper control arms at the factory frame and housing mounting points.
- Torque all Grade 8 hardware to the vehicle manufacturer's specification, then lower the vehicle and check rear alignment.
