Installation Instructions
- Cool the system fully and raise the truck on a lift; a 2.75 in system for a Suburban is long and heavy enough that a second pair of hands helps.
- Check every existing hanger and isolator before starting, because this kit does not include chassis hangers.
- Penetrating oil on the flange fasteners, then disconnect the front joint and free the old system from its hangers working rearward.
- Set the new pipes and the 21.25 in muffler out on the floor in order and compare bend angles to the old system.
- Fit the front pipe with the 2-inlet gasket and the spring bolts, leaving the spring bolts at the tension the kit provides.
- Slide the muffler and tailpipe together with the 3.125 in U-bolt clamps left loose, and fit the clamp hanger where the old system was supported.
- Adjust for clearance to the frame, the transfer case on K models and the fuel tank, checking at full axle droop.
- Tighten the clamps from front to rear once the tailpipe sits in the OEM exit position.
