Installation Instructions
- Let the exhaust cool completely, then raise the vehicle on a lift or rated stands with room to work under the rear axle.
- Soak the factory flange fasteners and hanger isolators with penetrating oil before attempting removal.
- Support the old system, disconnect it at the converter flange, and free each hanger from its isolator working front to rear.
- Lay the new pieces out on the floor in order and compare them against the old system before lifting anything into place.
- Fit the front pipe to the converter flange with a new 2-bolt gasket and start the bolts by hand.
- Work rearward, sliding each joint together with a U-bolt clamp loosely fitted and seating each hanger into its isolator.
- Route the system around the axle and crossmembers and adjust the slip joints for clearance to the floor pan, spare tyre and fuel lines.
- Tighten the flange bolts, then tighten the U-bolt clamps front to rear, and confirm the tailpipe sits in the OEM exit position.
- Start the engine, check every joint for leaks, then drive and re-check the clamps once the system has been through a full heat cycle. MagnaFlow states professional installation is always recommended for this product family.
